Type locality: Sakamanduna Pan, Gunkwe district, eastern Zambezi
region, about 16 (airline) km directly south of Katima Mulilo (23 km by road)
on road to Linyanti via Gunkwe, (eastern) Namibia.17°38.65’ S, 24°17.66’ E
Restricted range of distribution, confined to eastern part of Zambezi Region
(formerly Caprivi Strip) of Namibia, and situated between Zambezi river to
the north and Chobe river to the south.

Notes
Status specie: Accepted by all authors.
In captivity :Relatively difficult species to maintain. No very prolific.
