Notes
Status specie: accepted by all authors.
Species with a long natural incubation period (7 months or more).
Embryonated eggs have been observed only one month after spawning
if they are maintained on the spawning substrate. Probably the same
thing happens in nature if the ponds contain a lot of water and due to
the great speed with which they reach sexual maturity.
