Status specie: Unanimously confirmed. Atypical species of Nothobranchius based on its morphology. Confusing origin. It was only captured in 1997. Currently missing in the wild or in some unknown distribution.In captivity it is not an easy species to maintain. It grows slowly and can spawn a few centimeters above the substrate. When they are young it can be difficult to distinguish the sex because the females have an inappropriate coloring from other Nothobranchius females.
