Notes
Discoverer(s): Franz Ludwig Stuhlmann, August 6. 1888 (also in 1889). Status specie: Accepted by all authors. Very prolific species and one of the most resistant of the genus. Maintenance in captivity: This species is easy to care for and one of the most resistant to varying water parameters. It's a very active fish, always on the move. It's also prolific. Variability: Very little variability between specimens. There is a gold form and a blue form.
