Notes
Status specie: accepted by all authors. The species listed as N. kirki by Bills (2004) has been described as a new species, N. niassa, by Valdesalici (2012). Some old references to populations of N.Kirki and aff kirki are currently N. wattersi. Long incubation time of eggs (more than 5 months). I keep this species with a water hardness higher than most other Nothobranchius. They also bear worse temperatures below 22 degrees Celsius.
